Condolences & Tributes

We encourage you to share any memorable photos or stories about Patricia. All tributes placed on and purchased through this memorial website will remain on in perpetuity for future generations.

I had the privilege of providing books to Triss through a Brighton Library program. It was such a joy getting to know her. We shared so many conversations about things she had read, politics, family, and memories from her past. Triss had asked my husband to read something at her funeral, but unfortunately we were not aware that it had already happened until today. This poem was important to her, and she wanted it shared. We will continue to pray for her family as they struggle to fill the void left by Triss’s passing. She was a very special person to my husband and myself.

Hopi Indian Prayer
-author unknown

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am the thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glint in the snow.
I am the sunlight on the ripened grain.
I am the autumn's gentle rain.
When you awaken in the morning hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush.
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there,
I did not die.
