Condolence: My Uncle Jack was a special man in my life. I lived in the apartment attached to my grandmother 's until I was four years old. He was fourteen when I was born. I know there were many times when he took care of me. When I was old enough he took me rollerskating which was his passion. It's like he was born on them! When we had family dinner on Sundays he would come rumbling down the stairs...thus the nickname Rumble Slack Jack...:) and all the cousins would be there. He would say...keep it down to a dull roar! Or go play leap frog over the river bridge" with a VERY big smile! He also took me skiing for the first time. I was 14 years old. We went to Bristol and once I got my skis on I couldn't stand up and my skis were going in two different directions. He had to run over and pick me up. Once I mastered that then it was time for the rope tow. So up I went and when we got to the top he said ok just push off. Well that worked until it was time to stop and I hadn't learned that yet. So the snow fence was my only alternative to stopping. There were a few tears that day but I became a good skier and he didn't know it then but was preparing for a skill I needed once I married Vic! We had a lot of fun together. He did a great Shelly Berman impression and always had a new joke for us when he saw us. He made me a wooden sign for my office that sits on my desk that says Kate's Place! He had kind encouraging words when I had cancer and supported me during some difficult times. We didn't see each other often but always had a lot to talk about. I live in San Diego and made a trip back to see him before Christmas and I am so happy we got to spend some time together and I got to kiss him goodbye and give him a big hug before I left. I'll miss you Uncle Jack, your big smile, those great jokes you were known for, but know you are pain free, with Grandma and Grandpa and probably roller skating unencumbered by your arthritis. You'll be with me everyday until we meet again! Thanks for being a positive force in my life! I Love you, Kathleen

Condolence: Although we have been separated by miles, Jack has always been in our thoughts remembering the great times growing up and family good times. He always had good jokes and stories to tell and made us all laugh. He loved roller skating and listening to good music. He was very talented with his hands in fixing things. He loved his pets and had many friends. He will be missed very much by his family who loved him dearly. Sister Mary and husband Dom
