Please accept my condolences. Arch was a larger than life person with a larger than life personality to go with it. My most fondest memory of Arch tells wonders about the man he was. One day my won and I were talking to Arch and he found out my son liked baseball cards. Arch then gave my son Jimmy, a full box of baseball cards. Jimmy treasured those cards and he kept them for a long time. That small act by Arch helped to shape my sons love for the game of baseball. As a fellow Yankee fan every time I saw Arch we immediately had new Yankee news to discuss. I will miss Arch and his act of kindness to my son will always be one of my most treasured memories.

I first met Arch in the late 1970s. He lived below Mrs. Lancer then. Then again in the 1990s when I got involved in antiques.
He was always very personable. My thoughts and prayers to Marylou and family.

The family lost a wonderful husband, father, and brother. Many of us lost a friend. Baseball and the Red Wings lost a true fan. The world lost a "gentle giant". We will all miss him. May he rest in eternal peace.
