Lima – West Bloomfield October 21, 2022 at age 85. She is survived by her children, Joan (Robert) Widman, Jacqueline Sims, William, Jr. (Paula), Michael (Karen), Timothy (Rachael), Christopher (Sara) Harvey; sister, Sharon Harding; sister-in-law, Jeane Belair; 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, William Harvey, Sr., sisters, Teresa Houghton Jeanette Groth, Waneta Lincoln; brothers, James, Richard Belair; nephew James Houghton.
Shirley graduated from St. Mary’s School of Nursing was a registered nurse and worked for Thompson Health for 19 years. She instrumental in opening the Brighter Day Adult Day Care program. Member and Secretary for three years of the NYSADSA. Member and founding member of the Lima Volunteer Ambulance since 1976.
Family and friends are invited to call Wednesday, October 26, 2022 from 2 – 4, 7 – 9 PM at the O’Connell – Dougherty Funeral Home 2041 Lake Ave., Lima. Thursday, October 27, 2022 at 10AM her Funeral Mass will be held at St. Rose Church, Lima. Interment St. Rose Cemetery, Lima. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Thompson Health Foundation, Inc. Gift and Donor Records, PO Box 270032 Rochester, NY 14627-0032 or Lima Volunteer Ambulance, PO Box 335 Lima, NY 14485.
